About the Mountain Retreat
two bedrooms
sleeps four
"Immerse yourself into the wild, relax in a tranquil natural environment and go hunt that thirst for adventure. Removed from any amenities you find yourself free as a bird. Forget the concrete jungle and follow us into the cradle of the Crocodile River Reserve."
The self catering off grid luxurious mountain retreat has a large open plan lounge with fire place, dining and kitchen space. It features two bedrooms with large glazing and en-suite bathrooms, an extra guest toilet and an outside shower with heated splash pool. The spacious layout encompasses a sprawling open plan that seamlessly flows outwards onto wooden decking and into the mountain grasslands. The house epitomizes an indoor-outdoor living, with its open sun deck accessible through stacking and sliding doors. Here, guests can revel in the vastness of the landscape, lounging around the sun deck, braai, or unwind in the splash pool.
Expect total relaxation surrounded by wildlife and scenic mountain views nestled in the natural beauty of the Magaliesberg Biosphere. The Mountain Retreat is far removed from any houses with your own private hiking trails and easy access to the top of the mountain with 360 degree scenic views. You have access to 350 ha of African wilderness where you can go hike, mountain bike, climb, fish, kayak, bird and game watch in a private game reserve.
The house is entirely off-grid, powered by a solar system and rain water is collected. It has a separate drinking water tank filled with spring water. To conserve energy, guests are kindly requested only to use heavy-drawing appliances such as hairdryers or dishwasher during daylight hours.
Accessible by regular car, though we recommend a vehicle with higher clearance for ease of travel, but not necessary if driven carefully.
